aimPort User Meeting 2015: Broad Agreement on Requirements
“Potential applications are far more similar than we expected” was an often repeated statement during the fourth two-day meeting of aimPort users on June 17 and 18 in Münster.
The presentations had been selected in order to cover as many different user groups as possible and to answer any product-specific questions.
Long-term and recent customers presented their individual applications and experiences in the areas of energy supply, chemical industry, the public sector (municipal land use management) and airports. They all have one common issue: The need to precisely plan, manage and maintain vast and heterogeneous infrastructures – mostly with a large number of end users lacking appropriate IT-knowledge
Another similarity among aimPort users is their extraordinary creativity in terms of detecting new fields of application for our Geo Asset Management Portal. Throughout the event, there was a vivid discussion about how to make the best use of the numerous aimPort functionalities and what kind of features are required next. Our product development team is currently evaluating the wish list and setting priorities.
We are especially glad that – same as last year – apart from existing clients, also prospective aimPort users came to join us in Münster. Always have a look at the future family before getting married.
